On The Road Again…

Just when I thought I would never have to look at a packing box again, life called and said, “You need to go to Nineveh”. Remember Jonah? “No. Unh-uh. No way.” That’s right. My words, exactly.

We all know how the story went; after much refusal, and disagreement, a large fish was called in, swallowed Jonah, took him to Nineveh, and spit him out on the shore. I live by the sea, so the possibility of a rerun of that unfortunate turn of events is not lost on me.

It always amazes me how different my journey continues to be, even when I think I finally have it figured out, from what I originally planned. But, plans and preferences aside, I am needed in another place for another season. And I would rather my means of getting there be anything than the insides of a big, hungry fish.

Someone cue Willy Nelson! “On the road again, I just can’t wait to get on the road again…”

About Valleygrail

Native Californian by birth, Pacific Northwesterner by choice. Jack of all trades, master of none; always wishing I could stick with just one thing long enough to become expert. But then what about all those things left unattended? See? Not possible. I love life, my family, friends, a good book, Irish music, rain, fog, and a pint of Guinness. It's a good journey, and sharing with companions makes it even better. Thanks for being with me as I embrace it and you!

I mentioned to my wife about visiting certain areas to meet fellow bloggers. I have been to Seattle once, but would love to explore the our Northwest and British Columbia. So, at some point and if you are willing, I may reach out.
